Job Qualifications

One year of experience administering personnel security programs, loss prevention, and/or law enforcement working with confidential and controlled information. Must obtain/maintain the following to remain eligible for this position:
Secret Security Clearance, Anti-Terrorism Awareness Certification (Level II), and Trusted Agency Sponsorship Certification.

Salary Minimum

$47,396.00

Major Duties
  • Reviews and evaluates electronic/manual fingerprint verification results. Identifies derogatory information and researches mitigating and/or disqualifying factors before initiating requests appropriately for investigation with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
  • Adjudicates investigation results for contractors and associates and makes recommendations relative to suitability determinations applying the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the Department of Defense (DoD), and national security agency guidelines.
  • Administers electronic questionnaires for investigation processing (e-QIP) program. Analyzes questionnaires for reasonableness, accuracy, and consistency with other reports of investigations (i.e., Pre-employment checks, fingerprint results, etc.).
  • Conducts security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities related to physical security, personnel safety, or asset protection. Recommends improvements in security systems or procedures.
  • Maintains working knowledge of Secret Internet Protocol Routed Net (SIPRNET)/Non-Classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNET) protocols and procedures to act as backup for the communications security specialist and enforce national security guidelines for classified data and associates maintaining a secret clearance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
