Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies and protocols in a retail environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper judgment and communication skills.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter potential incidents and identify unusual activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, violence, and/or other criminal activity within the retail location.
- Interact professionally with visitors, customers, and staff while upholding Allied Universal standards and client expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
