Overview
Do you want to gain hands‑on experience in a professional laboratory? Central Life Sciences is seeking a summer intern for its analytical chemistry laboratory in Dallas, Texas. Over the course of 12 weeks, the candidate will receive direct mentorship and training while working to support customers of current products. As part of the Research and Development department, this position also has the opportunity to shadow senior scientists working on new product development and product stewardship.

ShiftOnsite, Monday‑Friday, 8am to 5pm
Key Responsibilities- Prepare solutions (standards, stocks, and internal standards) and dilutions, as necessary with guidance
- Log samples into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software
- Follow written procedures and verbal guidance to prepare samples for chromatographic analysis using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instruments
- Process chromatographic data and prepare reports for release to customers
- Maintain organizational systems for documentation (paper and electronic) and retainer samples
- Contribute to general laboratory upkeep duties, such as washing glassware, restocking consumables, and disposing of sample waste
- Present progress and receive feedback during meetings (team and 1‑on‑1)
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Interest in analytical chemistry
- Required:
Completion of General Chemistry lecture and lab, or higher - Preferred:
Completion of Analytical Chemistry lecture and lab (Quantitative Analysis, Instrumental Analysis, or similar) - Have the right to work in the U.S without restrictions
- Exposure to common potential allergens, including but not limited to straw, hay, grass, soy, wheat, peanuts, corn, rice, and oats
- Normal laboratory conditions requiring safety gear – lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, bend and stoop occasionally
- Hands‑on experience in a professional analytical chemistry laboratory
- Training opportunities with experienced chemists
- Participation in company networking events and connect with other interns
