About Magma Math
Magma is one of the world’s fastest-growing and most celebrated edtech companies, transforming math education through the power of AI. Our platform turns handwritten solutions into digital insights, empowering teachers to focus on creativity and deeper learning while giving them real-time visibility into student progress. The result is more inclusive, engaging, and effective math classrooms for all learners. We’re tackling the global challenge of math underperformance, where 1 in 5 students struggle.
With thousands of schools already using Magma, we’re expanding rapidly across the U.S. and Europe to unlock students’ full potential.
The Role
The Sales team drives revenue and ensures the platform reaches the students and teachers who need it most. The U.S. market is our largest growth opportunity. We’re looking for a high‑energy Account Executive who is hungry, mission‑aligned, and excited to build from the ground up. If you thrive with autonomy, scrappy wins, and massive impact, we’d love to talk.
Responsibilities- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close, including prospecting, demos, and multi‑threading across district stakeholders.
- Represent Magma Math at conferences and in‑person meetings with district leaders, including superintendents, assistant superintendents, directors of curriculum, CAOs, and directors of math.
- Understand how districts are thinking about math achievement, funding, and teacher support, and help them connect those goals to our solution.
- Collaborate internally with your team and cross‑functionally with district success managers, marketing, and product to share insights and continuously refine our approach.
- Think like an owner: if you see something broken, you fix it. We’re not just selling software; we’re building a company.
- Demonstrate relentless energy and belief in Magma Math’s mission to improve educational opportunities for all.
- Act proactively, seek ownership, and pursue solutions with urgency.
- Operate as a self‑starter: take initiative and bring solutions to the table before being asked.
- Be coachable, curious, and always striving to improve your craft.
- We act as owners: see things through to the end.
- We put teachers first: go out of your way to serve and delight our educators.
- We are ambitious: stay hungry and never settle for mediocrity.
- We are a team: help others and enjoy working together.
- You care deeply about public education and believe math is a gateway to opportunity.
- You have sales experience (bonus if it is in edtech!). While we typically hire people with 4+ years of software sales experience, we’re open to anyone who can prove they’ll succeed in this role.
- You are competitive with yourself and those around you; we love people with a disciplined background who show up ready to win.
- You’re not afraid to pick up the phone and call.
- You want to be part of something special and grow on a team. You will grow tremendously, make a meaningful impact, and help tens of thousands of students.
