The Rigel Territory Business Manager appropriately promotes Tavalisse® (fostamatinib) in chronic Immune Thrombocytopenia (cITP) and REZLIDHIA® (olutasidenib) in relapsed or refractory mIDH1 Acute Myeloid Leukemia (R/R mIDH1 AML) to maximize new patient starts within an assigned territory. This role achieves results through focused execution, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to positively impacting patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include gaining appropriate access and delivering effective, compliant sales interactions with cITP prescribers and AML specialists in both community and academic settings. Exceptional business acumen and the ability to develop and execute clear, comprehensive business plans across brands are fundamental to success.
The Territory Business Manager serves as the primary field “quarterback,” collaborating across Rigel teams to anticipate and address customer and patient needs. This is a field-based role requiring frequent in-person customer engagement throughout the assigned territory. Strong communication skills, proven account management experience, and established relationships with target hematology/oncology physicians are essential.
Dallas Territory geography includes the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding North Texas markets, with responsibility across key academic centers, community oncology practices, and hematology accounts within the territory.
Salary Range: $174,000 - $215,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet or exceed territory sales goals by influencing Key Opinion Leaders and prescribers.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with all members of the patient care team.
- Coordinate and deploy Rigel resources to effectively address customer needs.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans across key accounts to serve patient needs.
- Deliver value beyond product promotion by acting as a trusted advisor with strong product, disease state, and access/reimbursement expertise.
- Maintain a strong customer and patient focus, incorporating clinical and practice-level insights into territory strategies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning across disease states and the evolving oral oncolytic access environment.
- Exhibit agility, resourcefulness, and innovation in responding to customer needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and share customer insights to strengthen Rigel’s impact.
- Utilize resources responsibly and compliantly while delivering strong results.
- Conduct frequent in-person customer visits and represent Rigel at customer sites, field events, and local industry activities throughout the assigned territory.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS or equivalent with 5 years of rare disease, specialty pharmacy, or oncology/hematology sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong account management skills with established relationships in the assigned territory.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively as a territory owner.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate an automobile as required for field-based territory responsibilities.
- Ability to manage time and travel efficiently within a geographically dispersed territory.
COVID-19 vaccination required (subject to legally required exemptions).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regular standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing; vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Moderate noise level. This is a field-based position requiring regular local travel by automobile throughout the assigned territory.
