Job Title: Business Development Representative
The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities by qualifying leads and prospecting through existing business accounts to engage with potential customers.

Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
- Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C‑level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
- Build and maintain long‑lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
- Manage sales pipeline by assessing and identifying customer pain points and keeping them apprised of new company offerings and industry trends.
- Grow and maintain a book of business.
- Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
- Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
- Meet and exceed targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
- Create detailed and accurate sales reports.
- Work with customers and prospects to better understand their business needs and goals.
- Analyze asset cost, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling price.
- Estimate sales volume and profit for current and future business.
- Other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- Must have 2‑5 years of transportation/3PL sales experience.
- Excellent rate negotiation, problem‑solving, and communication skills—oral, written, and over the phone.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
- Strategic and collaborative team player.
- Strong initiative and can work independently.
- Takes initiative to assess and improve operational efficiencies of normal work tasks.
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
- Takes pride in work, exhibiting accuracy and attention to detail.

Hours:
In‑office, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. A one‑hour lunch between 11:00 am – 1:00 pm as scheduled by department leadership to ensure ongoing coverage. As a 24/7/365 operation, must be available to work after hours, weekend, and holiday hours as needed to meet work demands.
Sedentary – Involves lifting articles weighing no more than 10 pounds at a time or occasionally lifting or carrying articles such as docket files, ledgers, or small tools; and despite involving sitting on a regular basis, may require walking or standing on an occasional basis.
Working ConditionsOffice environment.
