OverviewUnder moderate supervision, the Virtual Sales Specialist (VSS) is responsible for outbound marketing, disease‑state identification and education, and inbound customer support in a virtual pharmaceutical environment. Customers include physicians, healthcare providers, and clinic personnel.
The VSS implements the client’s marketing plan by delivering proficient sales presentations to a defined list of current and prospective customers. In the assigned territory, the VSS plans and organizes activities to ensure regular and consistent coverage according to a plan of action. Administration of territory information and compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements is imperative.
Responsibilities- Execute client‑directed outbound calls, emails, and virtual strategic interactions with assigned targets and prospective customers to deliver effective sales presentations. Develop a daily/weekly call schedule to ensure efficient and comprehensive coverage of assigned targets.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions, including calls, emails, and appointments in the CRM system.
- Clearly articulate the clinical benefits and value of the product to HCPs and office staff using educational resources and support materials.
- Foster trust and credibility through consistent, professional communication in a virtual setting with HCPs and office staff.
- BA/BS degree minimum required.
- Minimum 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with a history of documented success.
- Expert selling skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Experience in a high‑pressure and fast‑paced environment.
- Strong preference for Psychology experience and 1+ years of specialty sales experience.
- Virtual sales experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical and scientific concepts, with the ability to quickly learn and convey complex product information to healthcare professionals.
- Effective prioritization and planning while ensuring adherence to compliance guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
