Elkhart Plastics is one of the nation’s largest rotational molders of plastic products and has been part of the Myers Industries family since 2020. Our manufacturing facilities in South Bend, Ind.;

Ridgefield, Wash.; and Littleton, CO., design and produce a wide range of custom products in varying shapes, lengths, and thicknesses, serving more than 30 industries. Founded in 1933, Myers Industries has moved from a small storefront in Akron, Ohio, to become a family of over 2,400 employees.
We are seeking a driven and experienced Regional Account Manager to lead sales growth for our proprietary and custom Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) product line within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for executing our strategic sales plan, driving new business development, and strengthening relationships with existing customers in the industrial chemical market. As a manufacturer with multiple production locations, we sell directly to business customers and rely on strong technical knowledge, relationship‑building skills, and a proactive sales approach.
A solid understanding of the IBC, packaging, and material handling markets is essential for success in this role.
This position is remote, but the selected candidate must reside in the Texas area and be willing to travel throughout the region, including occasional overnight trips.
Key Responsibilities- Execute the sales plan within the assigned territory and meet sales targets.
- Develop new business and grow existing accounts in the industrial chemical market.
- Promote our full line of proprietary and custom IBC products and match solutions to customer needs.
- Contact new and existing customers to understand requirements and present product options.
- Provide accurate pricing, availability, and product use information; negotiate terms as needed.
- Maintain records of leads, opportunities, and account activity; submit contracts and orders.
- Work closely with internal teams to support customer needs and ensure successful project delivery.
- Attend trade shows and sales meetings to build relationships and stay informed on market trends.
- Share market feedback and selling strategies with colleagues to support team success.
Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, sales, engineering or related field
- Excellent math and computer skills
- Prior experience with manufacturing sales required
- Prior experience selling custom products required.
- Five years’ experience developing business relationships
- Understanding or manufacturing technology
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to change direction as the market changes
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Work requires significant overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.
