National Account Manager, Enterprise Solutions

ABM Industries

Individual contributor position responsible for identifying and selling ABM’s services to new business prospects, expanding assigned clients, and driving organic growth, client expansion, and retention. Reports to the Vice President, Enterprise Solutions.

Job Objective

Develop sales and client relationships with top-tier and mid-market (US and multinational) building engineering and technical services contracts, cleaning, transportation, and associated services to achieve organic sales quotas.

Salary range: $ – $ (dependent on experience, skills, location, and market data).

Responsibilities
  • Apply need-based sales using a “Challenger” methodology to achieve goals and position for long‑term results; sell consultatively, build trust, identify and develop leads, set appointments, conduct account research, lead sales calls, and create relationships within a “Trusted Advisor” approach.
  • Gather, analyze, and apply business and industry knowledge, including facility service industry dynamics, client industries, human capital, and economic and financial data.
  • Understand ABM’s solutions, processes, and technologies; describe services and optimize resources.
  • Drive business results by leveraging personal capabilities and qualities—initiative, decision making, planning, resilience.
  • Build relationships internally and externally to foster collaboration across entities.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure communication and implementation within the team.
  • Display exemplary leadership skills, adhere to highest ethical conduct, and lead pursuit teams to meet sales quotas.
Relationships and Roles

  • Meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and closes.
  • Set examples for others in areas of personal character, commitment, organization, selling skills, and work habits.
  • Conduct regular conference calls to coordinate and collaborate with ABM field teams on deals.
  • Maintain contact with all clients sold and assigned to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Interact and cooperate with all company employees.
  • Key Relationships:
    Customers, Account Executives, Regional Director of Sales, Senior Vice Presidents of Sales, Branch Managers, District Managers, Regional Managers, Senior Vice Presidents.
Qualifications / Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in sales (facility service engineering & maintenance sales, business development, sales management, or roles with organic sales growth of at least 60%).
  • Experience overseeing client relationships for top-tier or mid‑market or comparable clients (US and multinational).
  • Experience with enterprise software and sales CRM (e.g., Salesforce) within large, complex organizations.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of supplier relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Ability to engage clients at a senior level.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
  • Expectation of $15 million annualized revenue.
  • Quotas assigned at discretion of company.
