Business Development Executive - Dallas, TX
Purpose: This role is focused on understanding, implementing, and developing strategies to drive growth for Ascend Technologies Managed Services and Professional Services offerings. Leveraging consultative selling techniques with an emphasis on business outcomes, the position is responsible for developing new accounts, building strong client and partner relationships, and identifying key business opportunities. By deeply understanding client needs and industry challenges, customized solutions are implemented that align with both customer goals and Ascend Technologies’ strategic objectives.
Additionally, this role involves negotiating deals, closing business, and ensuring long‑term success by staying informed about market conditions, enabling continuous refinement of strategies for growth and the maintenance of a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Hiring in the following cities: Milwaukee, Indianapolis, and Dallas.
Annual Quota Thresholds:
- Managed Services BDE – $100,000 new booked monthly recurring revenue (MRR).
- Professional Services BDE – $2.3 million new booked PS revenue.
- Develop opportunities in new and existing accounts, using Ascend best practices for account and opportunity development.
- Manage selected existing accounts, developing new opportunities for services while the Customer Success Manager handles renewals.
- Qualify opportunities by implementing Ascend best practices for qualification within the sales approach.
- Lead the Ascend team through the sales process, developing and applying best‑practice leadership skills.
- Achieve assigned sales quota through effective negotiation of Ascend contracts and a deep understanding of Ascend’s value proposition.
- Maintain accurate data in Salesforce, update weekly, forecast each quarter, and participate in Win Room meetings.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Minimum of 5 years successful managed services sales experience.
- Minimum of 5 years successful new account development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Marketing, or Technology.
- Ability to confidently develop relationships with high‑level decision makers.
- Experience selling in a consultative manner focusing on business outcomes.
- Experience with premium, complex B2B services sales.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, follow‑up, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and creativity in sales/marketing approaches.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Salesforce.
- Occasional travel required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of the shift. The position is mainly sitting, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs (laptop, server equipment, etc.) and driving to meet with clients.
