Compression Systems & Services is hiring an Area Sales Leader to develop business pipeline and long‑term strategy for sales growth in the Central/South Texas Region. The sales leader formulates and implements the sales strategy to grow overall sales revenue and market share, coaching a team of field sales engineers and supporting successful implementation of commercial business programs at the business unit level.
Responsibilities- Generate revenue growth through sale of industrial products, replacement components, and long‑term service agreements; lead and enable the sales team to achieve strategic goals related to revenue generation, profit attainment, and market‑share growth.
- Effectively coach, counsel, train and develop all sales employees; drive continuous improvement through performance management and personal development processes.
- Analyze target account requirements and develop penetration plans to increase market share and earn customer loyalty.
- Stay current on market intelligence, develop relationships within the industry to increase external awareness, coordinate with marketing and internal resources to resolve pricing, product specification, and warranty issues, and ensure success of marketing programs through the channel.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Mechanical and electrical expertise.
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with a clean driving record (no major violations within 5 years; no DUI or similar infractions within the last 3 years).
- Excellent relationship‑building and interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and presentation communication.
- Establishes and builds solid relationships with customers, key institutions, and employees.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a sales team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
- Honest, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented.
- Assessment of customer needs, interpretation of technical data, and recommendation of solutions.
- Proven business and sales acumen, including prospecting accounts, navigating within a customer organization, value selling, and winning competitive accounts.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or equivalent from a four‑year college or university.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 7+ years of industrial product sales experience, preferably with a diverse product portfolio.
- 5+ years experience leading a team.
- Knowledge of Salesforce.
- Position is remote with 40–50% travel, including some overnight stays.
- Prefer residence in San Antonio, Austin, or south of Dallas.
Total pay range for this role is $110,000 – $130,000, not including incentive opportunities.…
