Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the majority of the sales team’s new account acquisition execution. By winning new properties with intense prospecting and a high close‑rate, this role allows the Account Executives to focus on customer retention and growth while the BDE assures the local business adds net positive revenue. The BDE is the cultural leader of hunting on the sales team and works with BDEs across Renova One to boost our market share.
- Total number of new properties annually
- Total dollar revenue target annually
- Partner with the National Account Executive and Sr. BDE to properly represent the value proposition to National Account child locations and convert them to our program
- Attend standing NA meetings to understand all updates in the relationships and provide feedback
- Create targeted NA child attack strategies with the local Sales Leader
- Work closely with Sr. BDE and/or Sales Leader to properly represent the value proposition of the HQ to their child locations and convert them to our program
- Attend HQ calls with Sr. BDE and/or Sales Leader
- Meet with each AE quarterly to prioritize the top opportunities to win new accounts.
- Build out (connect the dots) within the Management Companies they own
- Work closely to transition newly won property customers over to the AEs to manage
- Set a plan of attack against the Sales Leader’s list of top targets
- Work with Marketing to drive new account sales through email, direct mail, swag, collateral, offers that beat the competitors, and other investments that drive the Renova One brand and help win.
- Participate in and drive local sales participation within local trade associations.
- Engage and create networking opportunities.
- Provide finance team with the list of target properties for credit pre‑approval. We will not hunt a property that doesn’t pass credit/lien process.
- At least 3 years of experience in business development, account management, or sales, preferably in a multi‑location or national account environment
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with both internal teams and external clients
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans
- Experience leading meetings, presenting to clients, and driving initiatives across teams
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Familiar with leveraging a CRM system to manage pipelines and overall business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed
- Experience working in or with the flooring, construction, renovation, or property services industries is preferred
- Involvement in industry associations or professional networks
