Business Development Representative - Upmarket
App Folio is a technology leader powering the future of the real estate industry, building innovative platforms that help property managers and owners grow and streamline operations. As a BDR – Upmarket (Corporate/Horizon), you will drive App Folio’s growth in the upper‑enterprise market by creating demand, building relationships, and collaborating with Account Executives to win new business.
Your impact- Make 50 outbound calls per day to qualify leads, build relationships with property managers, and generate new sales opportunities from cold accounts.
- Partner with Corporate/Horizon Account Executives to qualify prospects and learn additional sales tactics to win deals together.
- Update and maintain Salesforce and Sales Loft database with new notes and intel gathered from conversations with prospects.
- Report on weekly results, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Expand your knowledge of the industry and the competitive posture of App Folio.
- Confidently make calls to prospects using our sales methodology and tactics.
- Develop understanding of App Folio’s value and competitive advantages.
- Pitch App Folio value propositions to prospects.
- Leverage several sales enablement tools and processes to hit key metrics for performance ( and Salesloft).
- Form relationships with team members and key players on the BDR, Sales and Marketing teams.
- Identify target accounts with Account Executives and have strategic conversations.
- Experiment with different prospecting methods (calls, emails, Linked In, Vidyard).
- Effectively execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness.
- Grow in autonomy and ownership of strategy.
- Lead team huddles and discussions.
- Consistently meet performance objectives and metrics (daily activities, weekly targets, monthly quota).
- Partner with leadership to review performance and develop career goals.
- 3+ years work experience, preferably in a BDR/Sales role.
- Exceptional level of drive and passion for results.
- Willingness to learn new skills and build a career in sales.
- Prop Tech experience preferred.
- Travel up to 30% expected.
This hybrid role is based in Dallas, TX, Santa Barbara, CA, or San Diego, CA, and requires the applicant to be on-site at the office hub at least three times a week.
Compensation & BenefitsBase compensation ranges from $93,600 – OTE, with additional benefits and discretionary bonuses based on role and performance.
