Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour

Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.92 per hour ON TOP OF YOUR HOURLY RATE.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and providing a positive and professional customer experience.

Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Final pay depends on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
