Industry: Hispanic / Latino Grocery Retail

Reports To: Regional Director / Vice President of Operations

Position Summary

The District Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing Store Managers across multiple supermarket locations while driving sales, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service. This role is critical in supporting a culturally diverse, Spanish‑speaking customer base and workforce.
Fluency in both Spanish and English

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations for multiple supermarket locations within the district
  • Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and leadership teams
  • Ensure consistent execution of company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain high standards in food safety, cleanliness, merchandising, and loss prevention
  • Analyze KPIs, sales trends, labor metrics, and shrink to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with HR on hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations
  • Communicate company initiatives clearly in both Spanish and English
  • Build strong relationships with local communities and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Travel regularly between store locations within the district
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5–7 years of multi‑unit retail management experience
    , grocery preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
  • Strong understanding of supermarket operations (fresh departments, center store, labor, inventory, shrink)
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in retail systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a Hispanic or Latino‑focused retail environment
  • Knowledge of culturally relevant merchandising and customer engagement
