عص Position SummaryThe Director of Visual Merchandising leads all aspects of visual merchandising strategy, execution, and training to achieve excellence across store locations. This role encompasses strategy development and implementation, program execution, team communication, and the creation of visual standards and processes for consistent implementation across multiple store units in different markets.
Primary Job Functions- Responsible for leading all aspects of Visual Merchandising including strategy identification & implementation
- Execution of Visual Merchandising programs, communication and visual training.
- Creates visual direction, standards and processes for implementation at multiple store units in different markets.
- Create, manage and implement the company’s visual merchandising strategy, including transitions of visual concepts, projects, standards, signage, and floor and fixture plans.
- Lead and execute communication of merchandising strategies and initiatives to the field and across departments.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to accomplish initiatives while working with cross‑functional teams.
- Regularly visit stores to ensure proper implementation of merchandising directive.
- Responsible for developing overall store design and floor plans for new and remodeled stores.
- Train and develop direct reports on leadership skills and best practices to ensure task execution.
- Outstanding organizational, leadership and project management skills.
- KPIs:
Store Grades, Dollars per Square Foot to Budget, Labor Budget, Merchandising Supply Budget, Cap Ex Project Budget
- Actively participate in departmental meetings, training and education. Assist with training other employees and providing backup.
- Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
- Some college work in area of relevance, BA or BS preferred.
- 8+ years of experience furniture and/or accessory merchandising.
- Proven ability to develop direct and indirect reports and manage their performance.
- Extensive background creating and implementing visual merchandising direction and processes.
- Superior organizational skills and ability to work long hours.
- Able to work well in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent skills in all PC/Office/ applications.
- This position will require frequent travel. At least 50‑60%.
