OverviewThe Cashier Supervisor supervises, oversees, directs, monitors, and supports all cashiering services for the water park. Enforces proper cash handling procedures and segregation of duties while operating Point of Sales and maintaining retail inventory items. Work is done seasonally.
Essential Functions- Supervises and schedules Cashiers and monitors their performance; facilitates effective cashiering and cash handling.
- Corrects Cashier Point Of Sale errors and authorizes refunds; resolves issues and troubleshoots accounting or cashiering problems.
- Reconciles cashier cash drawers, prepares tills, assists with the preparation of cash deposits daily, and audits the change fund.
- Monitors retail inventory levels and requests merchandise re‑orders.
- Operates Point of Sale systems and provides training for other cashiering personnel.
- Provides customer service and enforces rules and policies daily.
- Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
- Knowledge of cash handling and accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of water park rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of retail inventory systems.
- Ability to supervise cash handling, separation of duties, and point of sale system operations.
- Ability to monitor inventory and retail.
- Ability to provide customer service and ensure patron safety for a large number of patrons at an aquatics facility.
- Ability to develop schedules and use web‑based applications for reports.
- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
1 year of experience in cash handling and Point of Sale systems operations.
Licenses and CertificationsNone
EducationHigh School Diploma, GED
Salary Range$21.04 - $22.67. The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
