Position Summary

Position Description- Position Title: Cook
- Employment Classification: Non‑Exempt
- Reports To: General Manager
- Department: Dining Division

Duties and Responsibilities- Passion for the guest.
- Demonstrate courtesy: say “Yes,” “Please,” and “Thank You”; smile often.
- Exceed First‑Class Service standards with guests, partners, and peers.
- Maintain professional image: adhere to grooming/uniform guidelines and wear slip‑resistant shoes.
- Food preparation: 100% recipe adherence, follow recipes/product directions for seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, portioning, and serving.
- Follow production prep list, keep accurate records, requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
- Use knives, slicers, and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Wash, slice, peel items on prep list; store prepared food safely and date‑label.
- Adhere to brand standards: food safety, sanitation, operational excellence, guest satisfaction.
- Practice excellent food safety and sanitation; comply with local, state, federal laws and regulations.
- Regularly restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service.
- Assist with ordering and planning food supplies as directed.
- Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to management.
- Monitor proper rotation and dating of prepped food and storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment free of hazards.
- Work well in a fast‑paced environment; detail‑oriented and able to multi‑task.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year of closely related cooking experience in a high‑volume or fast‑casual dining environment.
- Serve Safe Certification or equivalent required by state.
- Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods and demonstrate good judgment with guests.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team‑oriented environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent customer service skills; proficiency in communication in English.
- Self‑starter: prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
- Reading, writing, and mathematics proficiency in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.; perform essential tasks such as standing, bending, reaching, gripping, climbing ladders, and walking long distances.
- Standing for long periods in varying conditions including high heat, steam, and odors.
