About the Role:As a Quality Specialist, you play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of aircraft maintenance records. You will be responsible for auditing, verifying, and maintaining documentation in full compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Your work supports continuous airworthiness by identifying and resolving documentation discrepancies, tracking corrective actions, and preparing records for both internal and external audits.
Through your attention to detail and collaboration across departments, you help maintain the integrity of aircraft records and ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Auditing Maintenance Files
:
Review incoming aircraft maintenance records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and Air Carrier standards. - Evaluating Documentation
:
Compare records against internal procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance. - Resolving Discrepancies
:
Investigate and coordinate corrections for paperwork errors, tracking issues, and data inaccuracies. - Reconciling Records
:
Match physical documents with entries in electronic tracking systems and maintenance platforms. - Maintaining Records
:
Organize and preserve aircraft documentation in compliance with FAA regulations and retention policies. - Archiving & Verification
:
Perform monthly verification and archival of records to maintain accessibility and organization. - Vendor Audits
:
Review vendor files and update required forms in the tracking system as needed. - Working Independently
:
Operate under the guidance of the Quality Specialist Supervisor with minimal supervision.

- High school diploma/GED.
- Experience in auditing of documentation, filing, and management of required records to verify data integrity and compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe tools.
- Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting.
- Ability to occasionally lift 5-20 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of digital screen usage.
- Experience on Part 135 Air Carrier or Part 145 Repair Station Maintenance records.
- Prior work experience and/or formal training in the aviation industry, particularly in maintenance or records.
- Experience with an Electronic maintenance tracking system.
- Experience with SharePoint.
- Knowledge of FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacture technical data and service bulletins.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and Part 135 Requirements.
- Understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes.
