Product Quality Manager

You’ll lead a team of 3/4 quality inspectors
, collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality
, and play a key role in product development, supplier quality, and customer issue resolution

What You’ll Be Doing

• Quality Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 quality inspectors
• Set priorities, improve workflows, and raise standards across inspection points
• Be the go-to person for product quality across the business

• Own quality from inbound materials through to outbound products
• Analyze inspection data, scrap, defects, and non-conformances to drive improvement
• Use root cause analysis to prevent repeat issues — not just fix symptoms

• Work closely with engineering, production, and quality to improve products and processes
• Attend daily/weekly production meetings to ensure alignment and fast problem resolution
• Support new product development: prototypes, validations, and supplier approvals
• Work with suppliers to resolve and prevent quality issues
• Be trained to join meetings with customers and suppliers to identify root causes and agree corrective actions
• Help reduce cost of poor quality through smarter specs and better controls
• Lead or participate in cross-functional improvement projects
• Use Six Sigma / SPC / quality tools to drive measurable change
• Recommend and implement smarter systems, processes, and metrics

• Technical background in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with industrial mechanical parts, assemblies, or systems
• Strong knowledge of QMS (ISO 9001), SPC, root cause analysis, CAPA
• Confident working with data — Excel and basic statistical analysis
• Comfortable collaborating across departments and leading conversations
• Friendly, approachable, and able to build trust on the shop floor and beyond

• Six Sigma Yellow / Green / Black Belt
• Experience with quality software such as ETQ, SPC systems, VKS
• CQE, CQA, or similar certification
• Experience with supplier audits and supplier performance management
• Familiarity with cost-of-quality metrics (scrap, yield, spoilage, etc.)
