How would you contribute?
This role is a contributing member of our Airlite Plastics team, located in Dallas, TX.As a Quality Assurance Manager ( On-Site) you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite Plastics. This role is responsible for for leading quality initiatives and improvements to reduce the business risk associated with product quality issues. This includes, supporting quality initiatives to assigned customer accounts which may include, but is not limited to;
specification generation, product testing, new product development process, determining root cause analysis and implementing proactive quality metrics. In addition to leading quality initiatives, this role has management leadership responsibility for a team of quality team members.
- Provide management leadership to assigned team members.
- Develop, maintain, validate and revise annually the Airlite Quality Manual and supporting policies and procedures.
- Plan, organize, execute and evaluate activities related to quality assurance.
- Ensure assigned quality policies are being adhered to within standards set within assigned manufacturing division.
- Manage the product hold process, ensure non-conforming material is controlled and backtracking activities are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
- Establish standards and inspection methodology for production quality control.
- Responsible for developing and driving internal production quality metrics to drive improvement to the business.
- Support the CAR Committee through recommendation of CAR/PAR activities and serve as a resource to problem solving activities.
- Ensure timely follow-up of non-conformities of the quality assurance policies by developing and putting in place realistic corrective action plans and follow-up audits.
- In collaboration with quality management teams ensure quality compliance programs and quality policies are being adhered to, implemented effectively and continuously improved.
- Stay well-versed in Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis, root cause analysis, problem solving methodology and Six Sigma criteria.
- Lead problem solving teams to resolve internal quality and customer complaint issues.
- Develop, implement and maintain preventative quality and control plans.
- Improve processes, perform capability studies and proactively reduce variation/losses.
- Perform as a backup compliance practitioner as needed.
- Lead continuous improvement projects that foster compliance across assigned manufacturing divisions.
- Approximately 10% travel is required.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Experience in working in an FDA/Food Packaging or regulated industry.
- Experience with Project Management including Specification generation, Product Testing, following a New Product Development process and associated documentation.
- Capability to solve complex problems, utilizing strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Superior organizational skills and the ability to assemble resources needed to orchestrate multiple projects/activities and accomplish goals.
- Model a collaborative leadership style with the ability to build partnerships and influence others into action.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and consultative approach; tactful in dealing with people at all levels.
