About the RolePassionate licensed veterinary technician needed to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. The ideal candidate is flexible and willing to work both exam rooms and surgery, can travel between the two clinics, and has previous veterinary experience.
About YouAs a veterinary technician, you will play a vital role in pets’ lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your work will range from facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to assisting with surgery, and supporting services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements- Veterinary technician licensure (LVT/RVT)
- Ready to travel between Abrams Forest Veterinary Clinic and Prestonwood Pet Clinic
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical veterinary experience
- Prepare animals and instruments for surgery
- Provide surgical assistance and post‑operative care
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
- Positive work attitude

- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow in every hospital function.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state’s Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
