Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Assist surgeons and the surgical team during complex cardiac and vascular procedures
Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols
Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring optimal safety and comfort
Monitor patients' status throughout procedures and respond quickly to changes
Collaborate with the surgical, anesthesia, and perfusion teams
Accurately document all perioperative care in line with hospital guidelines
Requirements for the Travel Nurse:
Active Texas or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in CVOR or cardiac surgery
