PRN Registered Nurse

Position: PRN Registered Nurse (Days)
The Staff RN of the Medical/Surgical Unit provides high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic, spine, ENT, ophthalmology, cosmetic, urology, oral maxillofacial and other surgeries as scheduled, as well as patients undergoing medical substance abuse detoxification. The Staff Nurse adheres to the standards of care and practice and acts as a resource to other staff members.

Licenses /

Certifications:

Associate Degree in Nursing is required (BSN preferred).
Current Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Skills:

1-2 years of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse (experience in Med/Surg, Spine, Ortho, ENT, or Medical Detox a preferred).
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Attention to detail and follow through.
