About the Position
Locum Jobs Online is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Internal Medicine NP in Texas!
We are seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a background in General Medicine to provide PRN, as-needed coverage conducting non-treatment medical evaluations. This role focuses on performing medical disability examinations and separation health assessments for individuals undergoing official evaluations.
The position offers flexible scheduling with half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) options. Assignments are primarily interview-based with limited physical assessments and no treatment or prescribing responsibilities .
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive General Medicine evaluations
Perform medical history reviews and clinical interviews
Complete physical assessments including:
Range of motion testing
Muscle strength testing
METs testing
Evaluate and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
Accurately document findings and complete medical reports
Submit addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic reviews as required
Adhere to established documentation and reporting standards
Schedule & Coverage:
PRN / As-needed basis
Day shifts
No weekend or on-call requirements
Preferred Backgrounds:
Family Medicine
Internal Medicine
General Medicine
Orthopedic or musculoskeletal experience
Prior experience with medical disability or evaluation exams

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
AANP certification
Proficiency in METs testing
Experience evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
Willingness to complete required training and certification
Ability to use a personal Windows-based laptop (non-Apple)
Strong documentation and communication skills
Additional Requirements:
Must be open to performing General Medicine exams
Completion of required background self-query documentation
Availability to support ongoing administrative follow-up work
