Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This is a FLOAT position. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday (8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.) with no weekends, calls, or major holidays.

What does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do?Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care that adheres to national and company standards and specialty regulations. The RN recognizes the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care, participates in quality initiatives, and supports the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
- Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Collaborate interprofessionally.
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior‑level candidate.
- Current RN state license in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Occasionally lifts items up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
