RN ECMO ICU

Join Baylor University Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the ECMO ICU. We are a world‑class ELSO Platinum Center & a dedicated team of physicians, ACNP and research clinicians. The role is full‑time, 7:00 pm–7:00 am.

• Deliver highest quality care for patients receiving VA, VV, VP, VA‑V, RVAD and ECPR therapies.
• Competent in all mechanical circulatory devices—including percutaneous & implantable ventricular assist devices, intra‑aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy and ECMO.
• Maintain a 1:1 RN to ECMO patient ratio and a 1:3 ECMO specialist to pump ratio.
• Participate in 24/7 ICU physician & ACNP coverage, multiple research trials and publications.
• Lead ECMO specialist RN‑led transport teams and a dedicated ECMO bed program.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license; minimum 1 year CVICU or SICU experience.
• BLS and ACLS.
• CCRN certification (required within 6 months of hire).
• Valid CPR and other institutional requirements.
