Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Unit Nursing Supervisor, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex at Carrollton Regional Medical Center. The Unit Nursing Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Medical-Surgical Unit, ensuring efficient delivery of patient care and adherence to clinical protocols. Responsibilities include managing nursing staff, coordinating with physicians, providing direct patient care when necessary, and fostering a supportive environment focused on quality care and patient satisfaction.
Additional duties involve maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and facilitating staff training and performance evaluations.
- Proven expertise in Nursing, Nursing Management, and Patient Care
- Knowledge and skills in Critical Care Medicine
- Solid foundation in Medicine and Medical-Surgical nursing practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) certifications required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
