Overview

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high‑quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients in our Emergency Department. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and support staff, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of pediatric medical conditions and emergencies.

Position Profile
  • Current licensure / Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (preferred) No New Grads at this time.
  • 19 Pediatric ED Beds + 2 Triage Spaces
  • 39,000 annual volume
  • 9‑hour shifts
  • Meditech EMR
  • Pediatric sub‑specialties include cardiology, cardiac surgery, GI, hematology/oncology, nephrology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, surgery, urology, and plastic surgery
  • Join a team of experienced PEM trained physicians and acute care, pediatric dedicated, advanced practice providers who are providing 24/7 PED coverage

Medical City Children’s Hospital, established in 1996, is a leading 254‑bed pediatric healthcare facility in Dallas, Texas, renowned for its comprehensive, specialized care. With nearly 100 specialties, including dedicated CVICU and PICU units supported by a robust ECMO program, the hospital offers a full spectrum of pediatric services. It features a 37‑bed pediatric med‑surg unit, pediatric emergency department with resuscitation/trauma bays, and subspecialties in areas such as pediatric surgery, cardiology, neurology, and more.

As the flagship children’s hospital of the Medical City network, it shares a campus with Medical City Dallas, which includes a Level IV NICU and adult hospital, making it the only hospital in North Texas to offer complete care for all ages, from neonates to adults, under one roof.
