Aboutthe Unit
Our Medical ICU is a fast‑paced environment with high acuity patients. The unit comprises 40 beds, closed unit with 24/7 coverage by Intensive Care Physicians. Daily multidisciplinary rounds include pharmacists, APP, physicians, social work, nutritionist, respiratory therapists. Shared governance, staffing/scheduling, quality champions, and national conferences support professional development.
Patient Population: Sepsis, Pneumonia/Respiratory Failure, CRRT, Multiorgan System Failure, DKA, Post‑cardiac Arrest, Target Temperature Management, Massive Transfusion, GI bleed, Stroke, Overdose, Maternal Health/Obstetrics Complications.
Patient Ratios: 1:2.
Qualifications: BLS/ACLS required, 16‑week residency program, 1‑year transition to practice program.

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- License/Certification as a registered nurse.
- Minimum of 1 year ICU experience.
- BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire).
