Location:

Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231.

Unit: 23‑bed trauma med‑surgical unit specialized in treating patients suffering from traumatic injuries.

Hours:

Part‑time days, 24 hrs/week (7a‑7p) – rotating weekend and holidays.

Here’s What You Need
  • Nursing Diploma or Nursing (associate)
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • One year nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program
  • Registered Nurse upon hire
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) prior to independent patient care, maintained quarterly
What You Will Do
  • Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process
  • Assess patients
  • Plan patient care
  • Intervene as appropriate
  • Evaluate effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporate age‑specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiate action to meet patient and significant other needs for information
  • Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers
  • Provide cardiac‑focused care
  • Manage various cardiac drips
