Location:
Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231.
Unit: 23‑bed trauma med‑surgical unit specialized in treating patients suffering from traumatic injuries.
Hours:
Part‑time days, 24 hrs/week (7a‑7p) – rotating weekend and holidays.
- Nursing Diploma or Nursing (associate)
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- One year nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program
- Registered Nurse upon hire
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) prior to independent patient care, maintained quarterly
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process
- Assess patients
- Plan patient care
- Intervene as appropriate
- Evaluate effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporate age‑specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
- Initiate action to meet patient and significant other needs for information
- Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers
- Provide cardiac‑focused care
- Manage various cardiac drips
- Unlimited access to online continuing education for professional and career development, including RN Step Program with NCAP and nursing certification test‑prep content for specialty nurses.
