Job Summary and QualificationsAs an RN Pediatrics PRN Seasonal Day Shifts RN, you will determine the health status and needs of patients through interpretation of health data, provide goal‑directed nursing care, perform comprehensive nursing assessments, and develop individualized care plans. You will also give education, emotional support and age‑specific care, coordinate care for multiple patients, document outcomes, and use critical thinking to analyze clinical data.
Qualifications• Current RN license in Texas or a compact license
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
• 1/1/2014 PALS required within 6 months of hire
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• BSN required within 24 months if hired after 6/1/12
• Acute Care experience 1 year out of last 3 years required
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period
• May be asked to float to another facility with emergent staffing need
• Four (4) weekend shifts required each 4‑week schedule
• Two (2) holiday shifts required during the 32‑week period
• PRN status employees; not guaranteed hours
• Benefits eligible only for 401(k) and retirement contribution per PRN policy
• No extra shift bonuses
• Opportunity to pass clinical competency evaluation
• Current employees are not eligible for the 2025‑26 seasonal program
