Job SummaryJoin a collaborative team of APPs caring for high acuity cardiac surgery patients at Clements University Hospital. You’ll be managing their postoperative hospital course and assisting with drain management, discharge planning, evaluation of consults, etc. No OR procedures or first assist. Schedule is 12‑hour day shifts, rotating weekends & holidays. We’re looking for an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Graduate of a master’s degree or higher in a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC‑PA); OR Master’s degree or higher in nursing, with completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
Licensure and CertificationCertification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required. Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board. OR Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing and Acute Care certification. Current applicable ACLS and American Heart Association or American Red Cross Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
Preferred Experience1 year relevant clinical experience preferred.
