RN Oncology – Medical City Healthcare
Join our dedicated oncology nursing team. As an RN Oncology, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with state and specialty standards.
Job SummaryRegistered Nurse responsible for comprehensive oncology patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered, ensuring thorough and timely documentation.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in case of unintended response.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding.
- Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
- Registered Nurse credential.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
- Oncology Chemotherapy or Biotherapy certification obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
