Assistant Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery Nights
UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager – Labor & Delivery Nights to lead our night shift team in providing high‑quality maternity care.

- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with a BSN
- Minimum 3 years RN experience in Labor & Delivery
- Registered Nurse license (RN) with current BLS or ACLS certification
- Current state nursing license (Texas) or NEP license
- Demonstrate continuous performance improvement in targeted areas aligned with departmental goals.
- Attend daily patient rounds, perform chart audits, and provide ongoing staff education.
- Manage shift staffing, coordinate with Central Staffing Office, and adjust schedules based on census and acuity.
- Act as a role model for problem‑solving, collaboration, and patient safety initiatives.
- Provide timely confidential coaching, counseling, and performance feedback.
- Maintain accurate event reporting and collaborate with risk management on high‑risk situations.
- Participate in unit meetings, quality improvement projects, and data‑driven performance reviews.
- Maintain inventory control of equipment and supplies for safe patient care.
- Support discharge planning and achieve timely discharge targets.
Texas – Dallas – 5323 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, TX
Full‑time night shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) as a Regular full‑time employee.
Position is security‑sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, requiring a criminal history background check.
