We are now hiring a Full‑Time Regional Registered Nurse Clinical Manager to support our Texas offices. The regional Registered Nurse Clinical Manager provides clinical leadership, oversight, and support to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) across multiple service regions. This role ensures high‑quality nursing care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
The Regional RN Clinical Manager conducts regular regional travel to provide on‑site support, training, supervision, and direct care as needed.
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and performance support to RNs and LVNs within assigned regions.
- Conduct regular regional visits to observe nursing practices, mentor staff, and ensure consistent quality of care.
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases, care planning, and problem‑solving.
- Ensure nursing staff adhere to standards of professional practice, physician orders, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by professional standards or law.
- Conduct nursing assessments and follow‑up visits as needed.
- Monitor the health and medical conditions of individuals and ensure timely referrals for medical services.
- Administer medications and provide medication management when necessary.
- Provide health teaching and support individuals in developing self‑care and safety skills.
- Ensure individuals attend medical appointments as outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISP).
- Develop, update, and participate in interdisciplinary planning for ISPs/Person‑Centered Plans (PCP), including documenting concerns, observations, and behavioral developments.
- Create and distribute medical and health reports summarizing general health status, goals, and physician recommendations.
- Monitor medication administration logs and ensure compliance with medication protocols.
- Oversee the ordering, reviewing, monitoring, discontinuation, and disposal of medications per physician orders and regulatory standards.
- Ensure accurate transcription of physician orders and medically related documentation.
- Conduct programmatic trainings, including medication administration, delegation, and health‑related competencies.
- Provide new employee orientation, annual recertification, and ongoing competency validation for health and safety topics.
- Train employees on the medical needs of individuals served and ensure staff demonstrate required competencies.
- Complete supervisory visits in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements, including review of care plans, caregiver competency assessments, and documentation audits.
- Ensure timely completion of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual nursing documentation.
- Report all incidents per operational procedures and regulatory standards.
- Maintain compliance with operational, state, and federal regulations.
- Cooperate fully with licensing bodies and departmental staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations.
- Advise supervisors and leadership of concerns related to nursing services, staff performance, or individual care needs.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, in‑services, and other required meetings.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams and regional staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience in the nursing field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or management experience overseeing clinical staff, including RNs and/or LVNs.
- Minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Valid Registered Nurse (R.N.) license in good standing.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and willingness to travel regularly across assigned regions.
- Strong understanding of and commitment to community‑based support for persons with disabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Successful completion of criminal background check, central registry check, child abuse registry check, and drug screening.
