Neonatal APP Locum Tenens – North Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth Area) / Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Locums

Step into a high-impact neonatal role just 30 minutes from Dallas, supporting Level II and III NICUs across a dynamic hospital system. This locum assignment offers autonomy, strong physician collaboration, and the chance to care for critically ill neonates in well-supported units.

• Dates:
  Starting February
  ; ongoing with flexible advance scheduling
• Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts (0700–0700); extended shifts possible by site
• Multiple hospitals across the Dallas–Fort Worth region
• Level II & III NICU coverage with daily neonatologist collaboration
• NICU census ranges from 4–20; newborn census 4–18 depending on site
• Responsibilities include NICU management, high-risk deliveries, and newborn rounding
• Procedures include intubations, umbilical lines, thoracentesis, and resuscitation
• Robust support from nurses, RTs, therapists, pediatric NPs, and neonatologists
• EMR-supported, team-based care environment
• Travel: Paid travel & expenses included

• Be able to do the job as described.
• Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - NNP or PA-C
• Texas Nurse Practitioner licensed
• Minimum 2 years experience as an NNP or PA
• Current NRP, BLS, and DEA
• Case logs for endotracheal intubations and umbilical line placements for previous 12-18 months
• If available, case logs for needle thoracentesis, chest tubes, lumbar puncture, PAL and PICC lines
