Work schedule:

Full Time, 36 Hours; 7:00pm – 7:00am

Mom/Baby Department Highlights
  • Unit has been recently renovated
  • Level IV Maternal designation
  • Texas Ten Step member

Requirements
  • Diploma in Nursing or associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
  • BSN preferred
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program
  • One year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred
  • RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
What You Will Do
  • Assess the patient
  • Plan the care of the patient
  • Intervene as appropriate
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporate age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
  • Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
