About the Position
Join Baylor University Medical Center as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! Full‑time Night shift (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) in the ECMO ICU. Eligible candidates with 2 years of RN Acute Care experience can receive a $15,000 sign‑on bonus.
ECMO ICU OpportunitiesThe ECMO ICU is looking for experienced ICU RN’s who strive to deliver the highest quality care for our ECMO population. The ideal RN is competent in all mechanical circulatory devices, including percutaneous and implantable ventricular assist devices, intra‑aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy and ECMO. Our team is dedicated, efficient, inspiring and committed to providing elite extracorporeal care worldwide.
Patient Population
:
All ECLS patients receiving VA, VV, VP, VA‐V, RVAD and ECPR therapies, including post‑cardiotomy syndrome, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, pre‑ and post‑heart/lung transplant, ARDS, and post‑cardiac arrest.
Patient Ratios
: 1:1 RN to ECMO patient ratio with an ECMO Specialist to pump ratio of 1:3.
Department Specifics
: 10 dedicated ECMO beds located inside CTTICU, dedicated ICU physicians and ACNP coverage 24/7, 100% certification rate (CCRN, CSC), multiple research trials and publications, and one of two NTX ECMO programs with ECMO Specialist RN‑led transport teams.

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Valid RN license/certification.
- Minimum 1‑year experience in CVICU or SICU.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
