$15,000 sign-on bonus available to full-time candidates with 2 years RN Acute Care experienceWe are looking for experienced ICU RN’s who strive to deliver the highest quality care for our ECMO population. Join our ELSO Platinum Center of Excellence program! The ECMO ICU RN is competent in all mechanical circulatory devices including percutaneous and implantable ventricular assist devices, intra‑aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy and ECMO. Our team is dedicated, efficient, inspiring and committed to providing the most elite extracorporeal care available in the world.
Patient Population: All ECLS patients receiving VA, VV, VP, VA‑V, RVAD and ECPR therapies. Disease processes include, but are not limited to, post cardiotomy syndrome, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, pre‑ and post‑heart/lung transplant, ARDS, and post‑cardiac arrest.
Patient Ratios: 1:1 RN to ECMO patient ratio; ECMO Specialist to pump ratio 1:3.
Department Specifics: Ten dedicated ECMO beds located inside CTTICU, dedicated ICU physicians and ACNP coverage 24/7, 100% certification rate (CCRN, CSC), multiple research trials and publications, and one of two NTX ECMO programs with ECMO Specialist RN‑led transport teams.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Valid license/certification
- Registered Nurse with minimum 1‑year CVICU or SICU experience
- BLS – Basic Life Support
- ACLS – American Heart Association
- CCRN – required within 6 months of hire
