Key Responsibilities
- Assist with nonprofit communications including drafting social media posts, donor emails, and monthly newsletters
- (For in-person internships) help organize the Paper for Water office and set‑up for volunteer and community events
- Draft marketing materials for Paper for Water events including art installations, folding events, corporate volunteer days, and our annual gala fundraiser
- Help organize our annual silent auction (for internships in June - November)
- Support donor stewardship efforts, including thank‑you letters and impact reports
- Help maintain and update website content
- Document events through photography and short‑form video content for digital use
- Assist in managing inventory for merchandise
- Participate in team strategy meetings and contribute creative ideas
- Maintain organized digital files and shared team resources.
- Provide general support as needed.
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Design experience with Adobe or Canva (preferred)
- Ability to work with volunteers of all age groups with a friendly demeanor
- Passion for clean water access and global development issues
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
- Detail‑oriented with high standards for accuracy and professionalism
- Self‑starter with a problem‑solving attitude who can work independently
- Willingness to assist with occasional evening or weekend events (if applicable).
- This is an UNPAID internship but available for college credit or volunteer hours
- 10-15 hours per week
- Dallas area intern is preferred but not required and this position can be done remotely
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a U.S. university or a recent graduate (within the past year)

Even if you do not meet all qualifications we highly encourage you to apply! This is an excellent experience for students interested in nonprofit work, international development, communications/marketing, event planning or a related field. Interns will work closely with an internship supervisor to learn the ropes and responsibilities of this position. Ability to extend the internship or be eligible for a part‑time position commensurate with work outcomes.
