Mercy Street exists to cultivate mutually transforming relationships with inner‑city youth through our Sports, Mentoring, and Leadership Institute Programs. Mercy Street serves over 3,100 children annually in West and South Dallas, primarily Dallas Housing Authority residents and Dallas ISD students, addressing historic low educational attainment and generational poverty.
Member Duties- Enhance infrastructure to recruit volunteers and increase the reach of Mercy Street programming.
- Establish a sustainable volunteer recognition program and create an annual calendar of volunteer appreciation events and activities.
- Prepare marketing materials, including promotional and online content, for each community engagement opportunity or event.
- Enhance volunteer recruitment and engagement efforts, expanding community engagement to increase volunteer retention rates and support anti‑poverty programming.
- Report in‑person/on‑site five days a week.
