Mercy Street exists to cultivate mutually transforming relationships with inner‑city youth through our Sports, Mentoring, and Leadership Institute Programs. We serve over 3,100 children annually in West and South Dallas, primarily Dallas Housing Authority residents and Dallas ISD students. Since 2003 we have worked to address historical low educational attainment and generational poverty in West Dallas, one of the most concentrated areas of poverty in our city.

In 2019 we expanded into South Dallas where similar needs exist. Mercy Street focuses on serving students and families in Dallas Housing Authority public‑housing communities and builds community and individual support through programs such as Mercy Street Sports, Mercy Street Mentoring, and the Mercy Street Leadership program, which provides paid internship opportunities focused on preparing students for life after graduation.

• Research opportunities to expand summer and after‑school programming.
• Create documents and protocols for network meetings; establish procedures for sharing records, attendance and feedback in collaboration with partners.
• Develop processes that document recruitment challenges, obstacles, and successes in a Standard Operations Manual to ensure sustainability.
• Meet community partners to discuss and document their input for new and expanded programming.
• Support new and expanded program development for Mercy Street’s youth summer and after‑school programming.
• Report in person 5 days a week.
