The Marketing Manager is an entry-level, growth-oriented role responsible for executing and managing traditional and digital marketing initiatives in support of the organization’s distribution strategy.
This plays a critical role in centralizing marketing execution, ensuring brand consistency, and supporting Business Development Managers (BDMs) by owning marketing-related deliverables that enhance agency engagement and market visibility.
This role is designed to relieve BDMs of non-core marketing execution tasks, allowing them to focus on revenue generation, agency development, and territory growth, while establishing scalable, compliant, and professional marketing operations across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Marketing Execution & Campaign Management
- Plan, execute, and manage marketing campaigns aligned with distribution and growth objectives.
- Coordinate and publish producer-facing communications, including email campaigns and announcements.
- Support product launches, appetite updates, and strategic initiatives through targeted marketing efforts.
- Track campaign performance and engagement metrics to inform future initiatives.
- Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Manage and publish content across digital platforms, including Linked In and other approved channels.
- Coordinate digital advertising initiatives in collaboration with Compliance and leadership.
- Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual standards across all digital channels.
- Brand & Creative Asset Management
- Own brand assets, including logos, templates, presentations, and digital collateral.
- Coordinate creation and deployment of marketing materials (print and digital) for BDM use.
- Ensure brand consistency across all programs, platforms, and marketing touchpoints.
- Conference, Association & Event Support
- Support conference and association marketing efforts, including collateral, signage, and promotional materials.
- Assist with pre-event, on-site, and post-event marketing activities.
- Coordinate marketing deliverables for sponsor ships, trade shows, and industry events.
- Prepare producer-facing materials to support BDM agency visits, presentations, and meetings.
- Partner with BDM leadership to ensure marketing materials align with territory strategies and cross-sell initiatives.
- Support ongoing updates to sales decks, flyers, and digital resources.
- Public Relations & Communications
- Assist in drafting and publishing press releases and corporate announcements.
- Coordinate PR publishing schedules and external communication efforts.
- Maintain consistency in corporate messaging across external channels.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Product teams to ensure marketing initiatives meet regulatory, brand, and operational standards.
- Follow established approval processes for marketing materials, digital ads, and public communications.
- Maintain organized documentation and version control for all marketing assets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0–3 years of marketing, communications, or digital media experience (insurance or financial services experience a plus but not required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, social media, and email campaign tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a regulated environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and common marketing tools (e.g., email platforms, social media tools, basic design software).
- Experience supporting sales or business development teams.
- Basic understanding of B2B marketing and professional services environments.
- Familiarity with brand management and content creation.
- Comfort working cross-functionally with senior leadership and external partners.
- Timely and accurate execution of marketing initiatives.
- Quality, consistency, and compliance of marketing materials.
- Improved efficiency and scalability of marketing support for BDMs.
- Engagement and responsiveness from agency and producer audiences.
- Effective collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- This role does not carry underwriting, pricing, or binding authority.
- This role does not independently approve legal or compliance matters.
- Marketing initiatives requiring regulatory, legal, or executive approval must follow established governance processes.
- Limited travel may be required, as business needs dictate.
This position is a foundational step in building a scalable marketing function that supports distribution growth while allowing Business Development Managers to focus on their core responsibility – driving premium and strengthening agency relationships.
