Summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an employee communications coordinator to work in Dallas, TX. This communications coordinator position supports, develops and distributes content geared at keeping our employees informed, engaged and inspired through a holistic employee communications approach. Using a variety of channels, the communications content coordinator supports the creation of content that captures engagement and targets information to employee audiences. The primary focus for this position is employee communications, with opportunities to support efforts across other communications disciplines (social media, campaigns and national marketing) to increase content leverage, message visibility and content pipeline.

This position reports to the Senior Director of Communications.

Essential Functions

The employee communications coordinator will be responsible for the following priorities:

  • Collaborate with broader communications team (including Group communications team when applicable), local marketing teams and functional department leaders to identify, develop and execute communications needs
  • Coordinate and execute on all workflow and layout processes for bi-monthly digital employee newsletter, including but not limited to collect and/or edit articles, images and other supporting assets from content contributors, as well as write feature articles, headlines and subheads as assigned. This will include basic sizing and cropping of images, sourcing brand applicable stock imagery and creation of simple supporting graphics
  • Ensure approval cycle process, including incorporation of edits and comments
  • Assist in the set up and distribution of other employee communications such as memos and employee event and meeting invitations
  • Assist and support the production of leadership virtual (MS Teams) all employee meetings, including share presentations, videos, monitor Q&A and other ‘back of house’ activities
  • Maintain/update campaign tags and distribution lists in employee communications platform
  • Create weekly line up of screensaver content deployed to employees’ computers
  • Create gifs for use on various employee communications channels
  • Create digital signage content published to kiosks at offices and jobsites
  • Perform and coordinate other activities as assigned

Education and Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field
  • New graduate – 5 years of experience
  • Ideally has relatable marketing or communication internships in a B2B setting
  • Familiar with Adobe software
  • Having basic graphic design and video/gif creation skills is a plus but not required

  • Must be based in Dallas, TX and willing to work in office or on a two-day remote hybrid schedule
