Entry Level Communications Assistant

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Entry Level Communications Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in communications and public relations. In this role, the successful candidate will support the development and implementation of communication strategies that enhance our organization's visibility and engagement with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of engaging content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, promotions, and campaigns to enhance community engagement.
  • Maintain and update the organization’s communication databases and mailing lists.
  • Monitor media coverage and report on key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
  • Coordinate with team members and external partners to ensure timely delivery of project components.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information to stakeholders regarding the organization's activities and programs.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with graphic design software is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
