Job Summary

This position designs, installs, operates, and maintains video production, broadcast, and display equipment, ensuring high-quality visual output. Duties include troubleshooting complex systems, managing signals (audio/video), and configuring hardware like cameras, switchers, and LED walls. In addition, covers live production, post-production, or corporate Audio Visual, focusing on reliability and technical precision.
Our ideal candidate has live production experience and is comfortable to work in a high-profile environment. This position works 100% on campus.

  • Provides engineering oversight in studio, master control, videoconferencing facilities, and on location to include equipment setup and operation for production, distance learning, IP video streaming, and telemedicine.
  • Provides video engineering for institutional programs to include surgical programs and major campus events. Coordinates satellite uplink/microwave interface. Performs setup and alignment of fiber optic links for broadband CATV and analog/digital video/audio.
  • Performs equipment systems design and installation. Performs production and videoconferencing equipment storage, preparation, maintenance, alignment, and repair.
  • Identifies incorrect operation of all service center equipment and initiates necessary procedures to correct problem. Provides weekly reports to Manager, Technical Operations, noting status of any current troubleshooting of systems as well as systems failure resolution.
  • Provides training in operation and care of television equipment and supervises Production Technicians.
  • Performs linear and non-linear postproduction engineering setups and supervises postproduction editing.
  • Provides H.320/H.323 videoconferencing multi-point control unit configuration and videoconferencing client support.
  • Performs ongoing equipment research and analysis. Attends industry conferences and training classes. Provides specifications for purchase and makes equipment purchase recommendations.
  • Supervises studio and control room organization and cleanup.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
