Buyer, Manufacturing ​/ Production

LHH is seeking a manufacturing Buyer to manage a diverse supplier base and support procurement activities across machined, fabricated, and NLA parts for a client in the Grapevine area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supplier engagement, and can balance tactical buying with strategic sourcing. This role is 100% onsite.

• Manage and support a portfolio of 20–40 suppliers, ensuring consistent material availability and strong supplier performance.
• Conduct sourcing activities for NLA parts, machined components, and fabricated parts.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, ensuring accurate part specifications and fit.
• Lead import/export coordination, pricing reviews, and rate negotiations to optimize cost and delivery.
• Evaluate and track supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions.
• Use ERP systems to manage purchase orders, material requirements, pricing updates, and supplier records.
• Utilize intermediate Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and spend/cost tracking.
• Partner with internal teams such as Engineering, Operations, and Quality to support production and project needs.

• Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred).
• 4+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing machined and fabricated parts is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings/blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, imports/exports, and supplier negotiations.
• Proficient with ERP systems and intermediate Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers and drive supplier accountability.
• A professional certification such as CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or CPM is a plus.
