The Production Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations within a pharmaceutical production facility, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, and company quality standards. This role oversees production staff, optimizes processes, manages schedules, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet business objectives for quality, cost, delivery, and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and evaluate entire production process
  • Contribute to production planning and budgeting
  • Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders
Production & Operations Management
  • Lead and oversee daily production activities across manufacturing lines (e.g., solid dose, sterile, biologics, packaging, etc.)
  • Develop and execute production schedules to meet demand forecasts and customer requirements
  • Ensure adherence to cGMP, FDA, EMA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including yield, throughput, downtime, scrap, and labor efficiency
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure raw material availability and production readiness
  • Drive on-time batch completion and release coordination with Quality Assurance
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure strict compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Support internal and external regulatory inspections
  • Ensure proper documentation practices (GDP) and batch record review processes
  • Promote a quality culture across all production teams
Safety & EHS
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Promote a safe working environment and lead safety initiatives
  • Investigate and report safety incidents
Qualifications/Experience
  • 3+years manufacturing experience--food, beverage or pharmaceutical preferred
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or management and/or production experience
  • Experience in FDA-regulated environment required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
