Production Manager
Production Supervisor-Direct Hire- $65k-75k Job Description
in food or beverage production and a proven track record of effective team management.
Responsibilities- Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Direct production employees ensuring a safe, top-quality, and efficient product.
- Ensure all employees follow the standard operational and working practices required.
- Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed.
- Enforce Food Safety & Quality procedures and SQF policies to ensure compliance and proactive solutions.
- Coach employees on safety and ensure safety policies are followed.
- Facilitate onboarding of new hires and track training records for hourly associates.
- Control absenteeism by supervisory emphasis and counseling as necessary.
- Minimize waste, reject and substandard product.
- Ensure all record keeping is accomplished correctly for cost accounting data.
- Adapt to changing situations including schedule changes, supplies shortage, and other plants' needs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to keep equipment in optimal mechanical condition.
- Review accident and incident investigations to take action to eliminate future occurrences.
- Maintain good morale and positive attitudes among hourly associates.
- Collaborate and develop positive relations with other departments to achieve goals in safety, quality, and service.
- Counsel hourly associates and administer disciplinary action as necessary.
- Investigate all grievances/complaints and notify management.
- 2-5 years of production supervisor or management experience in the food/beverage industry or packaging industry.
- Strong production, safety, and food production knowledge.
- Effective supervision and leadership skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in coaching and developing employees.
- Ability to handle conflicts and grievances efficiently.
- Proficiency in adapting to schedule changes and resource shortages.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a dynamic team environment with 50-100 members on each shift. We have shifts starting at 6 AM and 4 PM. The dress code requires slip‑resistant steel‑toed footwear for safety.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
